  • Want an AcuGraph®

Dr. Pea's utilizes state-of-the-art technology combined with an ancient medicine to assess and diagnose imbalances in your energy/chi, blood and vital organs. AcuGraph? Digital Meridian Imaging measures the conductivity of each meridian in your body, and will quickly locate and graph energetic excesses and deficiencies related to your vital organs.

These imbalances may be interfering with your body's ability to recover from illness or injury and may also be responsible for over- or under-functioning of your organs. The AcuGraph® is pain free, takes less than 3 minutes to do, and is like a lab test for acupuncture.

    Did You Know?
    ? face

This column offers "knowledge" (with a slight bias) from a variety of sources not commonly available through our popular news media; knowledge related to choices we make that impact us personally and globally.

THAT: A study published in the Journal of Applied Nutrition in 1993 clearly showed that organic food contains more nutrients than conventional food, eg. 63% higher in calcium and 73% higher in iron.

THAT: On average, organically grown foods were, 29% lower in toxic mercury, and in an Australian study, produce grown organically in soil naturally enhanced with minerals had 5 - 9 times more mineral content.

THAT: Iodine has been found to normalize the thyroid from a state of hyper or hypo-activity, eliminates fibrocystic breasts, helps fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, cognition and memory, reduces allergy reactions, and increases apoptosis (normal cell death) in normal and abnormal cells.

THAT: While Viagra works for many men, it does not address the underlying cause of impotence. It is a temporary solution and much like throwing gasoline on a fire, it burns up the material substance that supports erection. Most men who have a physical cause for their impotence have a disease entity that is causing the impotence such as undiagnosed diabetes, vascular problems and heart disease whose first sign of a problem is impotence.

    Got Chi?

One of the most common complaints I hear from my patients is FATIGUE. Many people run on adrenalin rather than true energy, often using caffeine to jump start and further weaken their adrenals and kidneys. "Chi" or vital energy can be cultivated via specific movements and breathing techniques that are simple to learn and practice.

A FREE introductory class will be held at Sol Studios in central Austin on Mon. Sept. 10 from 7 - 8:15 pm. A series of classes will be offered on consecutive Mondays this fall where you will learn movements to generate more energy and improve the circulation of chi in your body.

For more information or to sign up for the 10 week series or introductory class, contact us at (512) 478-4732.

    SICKO
    drugs

Are you tired of being SICKO, told to take a drug or two for the rest of your life for allergies, back pain, hypertension, hormonal imbalances, headaches, or constipation?

Dr. Pea's accepts health insurance and personal injury cases. More insurance companies are responding to consumer demand and common sense, offering benefits for acupuncture and myofascial therapies. Currently, 14 states are required by law to offer acupuncture benefits and Texas is not yet one of them.

Try acupuncture, massage and other non-needle therapies and liberate yourself from the side effects of drugs which, in addition to toxic side effects, mask your symptoms.

Call us today and we'll pre-verify your insurance to see if you have benefits for acupuncture.

(If you haven't seen the movie, SICKO, by Michael Moore, it's a sad and scary look at our health care system and well worth the price of admission.)
