Contact
your school's Sports Clubs, Campus Recreation, or Campus/Student Activities office and find out the requirements for starting a sports club or general student organization. 

Schools usually require only a small initial membership (around three members) and a little paperwork, possibly including a club constitution.  ASA U. has a Sample Club Constitution available for use as a model, for ideas/inspiration, or for you to copy in its entirety if you so desire.

Register your team
with your school as a Sport Club or other kind of student organization recognized by your school. Please let us know when you've registered your club with your school.

Recruit members.
Your school may allow sports clubs to choose to have students, faculty, staff, and alumni as members.
